Texting While Driving is Life Depriving!

     Texting while driving is more dangerous than you think. Many people have killed themselves and others while texting and driving. One text can take away a life or more. I want to put an end to texting while driving. Stopping this could save the lives of thousands of people. I may not be old enough to drive yet but I will be soon and I definitely won't be texting while I do so. I couldn't live with myself if I killed someone all because I wouldn't put down my phone and realize I'm drifting to the wrong side of the road or I have a red light. Texting while driving has major consequences, not only for you, but for the people around you. I have seen pictures of people who have died from texting and driving, heard stories, seen the totaled cars, and I don't want to anymore. I hope that eventually everyone will realize what a risk this is and put an end to it. It is my dream! It isn't fair to take others lives away for a stupid choice, especially if it's to answer a call or text. There are simple solutions to replying to texts or calls while driving. For example, have someone else in the car text back or answer for you. If you are the only person on the car or don't want anyone else to see the message, then pull into a parking lot, park your car, and reply or call back. I have read on multiple sites that the average text takes the drivers eyes off the road for a minimum of 5 seconds. That is long enough to catch up to the car in front of you and ram into the back of it, or not see a child crossing the street and run him or her over. This site shows basic facts about texting and driving. There are many others too. Just like this one. If I am in the car, I never allow anyone I am riding with to text and drive. It doesn't matter how well you drive, you could be a nascar racer, and you can still falter. Anyone can cause an accident by texting and driving. Please comment and tell me how you feel on this topic.....everyone can make a difference and that is what I am trying to do. I'm trying to save lives. Also I would like to create my own little pledge to end this....so by commenting and writing "I PLEDGE TO DECREASE THE ODDS OF OUR LIVES FROM DEPRIVING BY NOT TEXTING WHILE DRIVING." This means the world to me. Please pledge and help save lives:)
